Serving in the Lord’s house, these nine sisters of a Milanese convent certainly did not expect to get pregnant after giving refuge to migrants.
In July 2017, five migrants struck at the door of a convent in Milan asking for asylum, which naturally was granted to them.
Mm.. However, six months later, the superior mother of the convent had a very bad surprise when she discovered a dozen of her young pregnant sisters.
Indignant by this news, the superior, a lady of a certain age, demanded that the sisters renounce the noble work of a nun and leave the convent. She regrets having been ill at that time and not being able to be at the convent to prevent this sin.
However, in spite of the evidence, future mothers try to justify themselves by stating that they never had sex with migrants.
« We did not do anything wrong. These unfortunates had need of love and of being comforted. Marie also became pregnant while remaining virgin. The Superior, like all of us, believes in her chastity. It is also a miracle for us and we thank God for it, « deplores sisters.
Looking at this story from their window, migrants are simply delighted with their Italian stay and the welcome they were given: Mm.. « Thank you sisters! Thank you Italy, « wrote one of them.
