The winners of the official examinations for the school year 2016-2017 honored by the President of the Republic

The Head of State announces that the government will take care of the laureates of the final classes

 Port-au-Prince, Tuesday, September 26, 201.- The President of the Republic, His Excellency Jovenel Moïse, on Tuesday, 26 September, accompanied by Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant, awarded prizes to the laureates of the examinations for the school year 2016-2017.

The ceremony, held at the Convention Center of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, was attended by members of the government, including the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, Presidents of the Education Committees in the two Houses of Parliament, parliamentarians, senior officials of the MENFP, relatives and friends of the prize-winners from the ten departments of the country.

 During this important ceremony, the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training welcomed the presence of the Head of State, which he described as a clear sign of his interest in the issue of education and of the supervision of young people in Haiti. At the same time, he affirmed that this approach aims to promote values ​​and honor the academic excellence of young people from the basic to the high school level.

 Balmyr Johnny, one of the laureates, spoke on behalf of all his comrades to salute the initiative taken by President Jovenel Moses to honor the best of the best. He took the opportunity to advocate for the establishment of effective public policy in Haiti in order to improve the quality of education throughout the country.

 The President of the Republic, for his part, believes that honor is both for the young people, for their parents, but also for their teachers and school leaders. He thus addressed to them a vibrant tribute for the work that was accomplished and whose fruits are visible. He asked them to believe in the recognition of the state for their exceptional performances. The Head of State also renewed his commitment to valorize the taste for effort, the sense of accomplishment and the quest for excellence in all that young people undertake in the country.

 « Today, we are proud to present these young people to the nation as role models, coming from all over the country, from all walks of life, from very different schools. , have had the worst difficulty in obtaining the appropriate school material and are experiencing the same anguish as everyone else, « said the President of the Republic, who also stated that these young people have a rare quality that distinguishes them from the common d between us: the refusal of mediocrity, the refusal of resignation.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Jovenel Moïse, remains convinced that youth needs to be encouraged, oriented and appreciated for what it is and for what it does. He reiterated the commitment of his administration to set the tone by celebrating the merit and promised the accompaniment of the government to these laureates.
